Fall Registration
The Fall 2009 season for all U10, U12 & U14 teams will consist of a regular season and a post season. U5, U6 & U8 will consist of a regular season without post season play.

All teams play regular season games, but only those teams that earn the minimum required Team Referee Points from the regular season can participate in the post season Playoff games. Teams that do not earn their minimum required Referee Points also prevent those players from participating in both Spring Select and All-Stars.

Most games will be scheduled for Saturdays, but games for both the regular season and the post season for U10 and above may include some weeknight games.

Point System
The regular season games utilize standings with a 10 point scoring system. The 10 point system works as follows:

+ 6 points for a win
+ 3 points for a tie
+ 1 point for each goal (3 maximum)
+ 1 point for a shutout (opponent scores no goals)

Examples:
1. A score of 0 - 0 earns 4 points for both teams.
2. A score of 3 - 0 earns the winning team 10 points (6 for win + 3 goals + 1 shutout).
3. A score of 6 - 0 earns the winning team 10 points (6 for win + 3 goals + 1 shutout).
4. A score of 2 - 2 earns both teams 6 points (4 points for tie + 2 goals)
5. A score of 5 - 2 earns the winning team 9 points (6 points for win + 3 goals) and the losing team earns 2 points (2 goals)

Referee Points
U9 and above teams are required to earn 20 Referee Points to be able to participate in the end of season Region and Area Tournaments. To earn points the team must have a certified Referee volunteer that is assigned to the team and they must be sign up for games using the scheduling system.

The Referee will earn 3 Points per game, and the Assistant Referee will earn 1 Point.

For example, with 10 games in the season, a team that has 2 Referees that sign up as Assistant Referees each weekend will earn the required 20 points.

Once the season is complete we would appreciate Referees also help during the Tournament as we will still have a lot of games that need your help!

Post Season Play / Playoffs
The post season consists of Playoff games where all teams will qualify for the Playoffs if they have earned the minimum number of Team Referee Points. For instances where a team does not earn the required Referee Points (applies to ALL teams), all teams below that point will move up in standings by 1 place.

A Post Season Bracket will be constructed and posted on the schedules portion of the website. The winning team for all divisions will then move on to represent Ladera Soccer AYSO 1455 at the Area Playoffs.
